Being a natural product, cork flooring comes with many ecological benefits.

Cork is a natural material made from the bark of Cork Oak tree. The outer layer bark is peeled from the trunk of the tree. Once the tree has been stripped of its outer layer, new bark regenerates as part of the natural growth cycle.

Natural cork can be harvested every 9-12 years, while the trees can be maintained for hundreds of years, making this a sustainable flooring option for environmentally conscious home owners.

Cork flooring material is naturally produced meaning that it is a biodegradable product.

Cork flooring acts as effective insulation against heat and cold, meaning that cork is suitable for the Australian climate.

A properly installed cork tile floor can last a lifetime. Below we have outlined a selection of maintenance tips for cork flooring.
