Andersens backs fundraiser to support kids with a disability

The leader in floor coverings, Andersens, has thrown its weight behind a special event next Friday night to raise funds for one of Queensland’s leading charities, MontroseAccess.
MontroseAccess provides therapy and support services for more than 600 children with physical disabilities and their families throughout the state and celebrates its 80th anniversary next month.
Andersens Group Marketing Manager, Damon Pownell, said these were vital services for children who would be otherwise unable to access assistance and the company was delighted to be the major sponsor for next Friday’s ‘Tuscan Long Tables’ fundraiser.
“Tuscan Long Tables at Verdant restaurant is sure to be a fantastic night with wonderful Italian food and first-class entertainment,” Damon said.
“The restaurant will be transformed for the evening to give diners a taste of Tuscany, and two of Australia’s finest performers, Mark Vincent and Chelsea Gibb, will be singing for guests. Most importantly though, this is a key fundraiser for MontroseAccess and those attending will not only have a great time, they’ll be assisting a very worthy cause. Andersens was only too happy to support this event.”
MontroseAccess Fundraising Manager, Leanne Liesegang, said the charity needed to raise about $1.8 million every years to continue providing its services for disabled children and thanked Andersens for their generous backing.
Leanne said without corporate support of this kind, the charity would struggle to meet its fundraising target. “We are extremely grateful to Andersens, which, like MontroseAccess, has been part of the community for many, many years.
“MontoseAccess strives to ensure these children with physical disabilities lead quality lives and Andersens is helping us achieve that goal.”
